Jul 19, Kathmandu - Samsung Electronics has launched the latest version of its popular portable projector, 'The Freestyle Plus,' equipped with advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and cutting-edge sensors. Announced at CES 2026, this smart projector promises to transform any space into a personal cinema instantly.

Priced at $1,199.99 (approximately NPR 185,000), the new model is a more refined and technologically advanced successor to its predecessor, which was initially priced at $800. Available now on Samsung's official website and authorized retailers, the device features a sleek, slim, and lightweight design for easy portability.

The highlight of 'The Freestyle Plus' is its powerful AI capabilities. Integrated with 3D auto keystone and wall calibration technology, it automatically corrects image distortion on uneven surfaces and corners. It also recognizes wall colors and patterns to optimize image brightness and color accuracy, ensuring vibrant visuals regardless of the environment.

Additional features include an adaptive projection size that adjusts based on available wall space and obstacle detection that automatically shifts the projected image to avoid obstructions. Samsung Electronics America’s Home Entertainment Head Shane Higby stated, "With The Freestyle Plus, we are redefining portable entertainment. Its AI-powered features allow users to enjoy content freely in any space, instantly creating an immersive experience."

Technical specifications include full HD 1080p resolution with a maximum projection size of 100 inches, 430 lumens brightness, support for PurColor and HDR-10 Plus technologies, and real-time autofocus via ultrasonic motors for sharp images.

Enhanced with dual passive woofers, the built-in speaker delivers 360-degree immersive sound, with Q-Symphony technology enabling synchronization with compatible Samsung soundbars and Wi-Fi speakers for a richer audio experience.

For added convenience, the projector features a Smart Hub and cloud gaming capabilities, allowing users to stream cloud games directly without a console and access over 750 free channels via Samsung TV Plus. The device also integrates Samsung’s advanced AI features, including Bixby and Bemanai voice assistants, for seamless control.

Connectivity options include Tap View and Smart View for content projection from Galaxy devices and AirPlay 2 support for Apple devices. While it requires an electrical plug to operate, the projector can be powered with portable batteries like The Freestyle Battery Base or external USB-C batteries for outdoor or camping use.
