Application Open for Korean Language Test for Employment in Korea

Jul 21, Kathmandu - The Department of Foreign Employment under the Ministry of Youth, Labor, and Employment has announced the opening of applications for the Korean language proficiency test, facilitated by EPS Korea Branch.

According to the Memorandum of Understanding between Nepal and Korea, Korea has called for applications under the Employment Permit System (EPS) for a quota of 7,200 positions.

The demand includes 5,000 for production sectors from HRD Korea, 2,000 for agriculture and livestock, 100 for the service sector, and 100 for forest-related jobs. Based on this demand, EPS Korea Branch has invited applications for the language proficiency exam.

Applicants can submit their applications online from July 27, 2026, to August 2. Eligible candidates must be between 18 and 39 years old, have no criminal record, and should not have overstayed or illegally resided in Korea. Additionally, applicants must not have been in Korea under E-9 or E-10 visas for more than five years, and the government of Nepal has no restrictions on traveling abroad.

The first phase of the language test results will determine eligibility for the next stage. A fee of $28 must be paid to take the exam. Candidates who pass the final exam will have a validity period of two years from the date of result publication.
