Nepal Loses Early Wickets in ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 Match Against Netherlands

Jul 23, Kathmandu - Nepal has suffered a setback, losing their fourth wicket in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 match against the Netherlands. At 11 overs and 6 balls into the game, Dr. Ishan Pandey was dismissed. He scored 4 runs off 10 balls before being caught behind off Alex Roy's delivery.

Earlier, captain Rohit Paudel was dismissed in the 9th over, scoring 3 runs off 12 balls. Additionally, Asif Sheikh, the other key batter, was out after facing 17 balls, hitting two fours and scoring 14 runs.

Openers Kushal Bhurtel and others also fell early; Bhurtel was dismissed in the 6th over, scoring 9 runs off 20 balls.

Currently, Deependra Singh Airee and Arif Sheikh are at the crease.

Nepal had previously faced an eight-wicket defeat against Namibia in their recent series. In the World Cup League 2, after 29 matches, Nepal stands sixth in the points table with 24 points. The Netherlands is in fourth place with 32 points after 28 matches.
