Jul 26, Kathmandu - Narayani Hospital has suspended five healthcare workers following an incident in the emergency department on Saturday. The hospital administration has formed an investigation committee tasked with submitting a report within seven days.

The suspended staff members include Dr. Pramod Ram, Dr. Ram Kishor Singh, Prahlad Prasad, Naresh Kumar Chaudhary, and Astha Yadav, who were on duty at the time of the incident. They will remain off duty until the investigation report is finalized.

A meeting held in the presence of the Assistant Chief District Officer on Saturday evening decided to conduct an impartial investigation and submit a report within a week. The investigation committee comprises Dr. Neerajkumar Singh from the hospital, Assistant Chief District Officer Vinay Kumar Gupta, Inspector Bikram Subedi from the District Police Office, Ward Chairman Ashutosh Chaturvedi of Birgunj Metropolitan City Ward 25, and representatives of the victim’s family and hospital administration, including Sunil Kumar Raut.
