Jul 30, Kathmandu - Iran announced that three US F-35 fighter jets were completely destroyed in a missile attack at Jordan's Al-Azrak Airport. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) reported targeting the ramp and maintenance center of the airbase following an American strike on Kesh Island that resulted in the death of a couple and their child.
According to the official news agency Fars, the IRGC issued a statement condemning the US attack, which they say was a revenge response. The statement details that the missile strike successfully destroyed three F-35 aircraft and inflicted serious damage on three others. It also reported casualties among American military officials, technicians, and maintenance personnel.
The IRGC further criticized the US military presence in the Middle East, stating, “There is no place for armies that attack innocent families in our region.” They emphasized that their resistance will continue until the US military presence is withdrawn from the area.
