Former Nepal Telecommunication Authority Chief Bhupendra Bhandari Arrested in Telecom Crime Case

Jul 31, Kathmandu - Bhupendra Bhandari, the former Chairman of the Nepal Telecommunications Authority, has been taken into custody. The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the police arrested him Thursday night from Dhapakhel in connection with telecommunications-related offenses.

According to bureau spokesperson Anupam Shamsher Jabra, Bhandari is scheduled to appear in court today, where a request for extension of his detention is also expected. Further details regarding the case are awaited.
