Police Seize Fake Tata Car Parts and Liquids, Arrest Businessman in Kavrepalanchwok

Aug 07, Kathmandu - The District Police Office of Kavrepalanchwok has arrested a man on charges of illegally importing and selling counterfeit Tata car parts and lubricants. The suspect is identified as businessman Rajkumar Pote.

According to police sources, a raid was conducted at the premises and warehouse of Next Generation Automotive Pvt. Ltd. in Banepa, where illegal imports worth millions of rupees of fake car parts were seized. Additionally, ten warehouses along with the shop have been sealed.

Police officials stated that Pote has a prior record of being involved in tax evasion cases and has faced legal action before.

Authorities warn that the use of counterfeit parts increases the risk of vehicle accidents, causes damage to state revenue, and adversely affects legitimate businesses. The police have also announced that they will intensify nationwide investigations and actions against individuals involved in such illegal activities.
