Aug 09, Kathmandu - Prime Minister Balen Shah is scheduled to meet separately with the ambassadors of India and China tomorrow, marking a shift from previous collective diplomatic discussions.
According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, PM Shah will first meet Indian Ambassador Naveen Srivastava at 11:00 AM, followed by a meeting with Chinese Ambassador Zhang Maoming at 3:00 PM on Monday.
This will be PM Shah’s first engagement with the ambassadors of the neighboring countries since he took office four months ago, after being sworn in on March 27. Previously, on April 8, he held a joint meeting with ambassadors of various countries and heads of diplomatic missions in Nepal.
The meetings signal a new phase in Nepal’s diplomatic relations with its southern and northern neighbors.
