Lucky Viewer to Win TVS Scooter in International Invitational Taplejung Gold Cup

Aug 23, Kathmandu - A fortunate spectator has won a brand new TVS scooter as part of the ongoing International Invitational Taplejung Gold Cup. The lucky winner was selected through a raffle after purchasing a ticket to watch the matches.

To boost participation in the upcoming Laxman Jatra scheduled from August 28 to September 4, the Laxman Jatra Organizing Committee announced a special scooter giveaway. According to committee president Madenka, tickets for the quarterfinals, semifinals, and final matches will be collectively pooled for the raffle.

The final raffle draw will take place on the day of the championship match, and the winner will receive a TVS scooter as a prize, organizers confirmed. In previous years, the committee has regularly awarded attractive prizes such as Android mobile phones, and this year, they plan to give away a scooter valued at over three lakh rupees.

To participate in the raffle, spectators need to purchase tickets costing 200 rupees for the quarterfinals, 300 rupees for the semifinals, and 500 rupees for the final. Tickets will be made available at the gate before the matches begin. President Madenka also mentioned that individuals, organizations, and businesses interested in supporting the committee can purchase tickets in advance.

Additionally, spectators purchasing a package ticket worth 3,000 rupees will be eligible to win daily exciting prizes and participate in the scooter offer. The committee has also constructed a well-organized pavilion to accommodate over 5,000 spectators and facilitate smooth entry for a large crowd.

This year’s tournament will feature matches between top-tier teams, including foreign players. On August 28, matches will be held between Taplejung 11 and Georgian United Football Club from India. On August 29, Chitlang Football Club from Makwanpur and Fidim Sporting Club will compete. The competition will continue with exciting matches on August 30, including Seven Star Football Club versus Salah Youth Club, and the quarterfinals on August 31 between Jhapa 11 Football Club and Nepal Police Club.

The organizers are encouraging top players to participate and perform their best, with a Bajaj motorcycle also up for the best player of the match. The motorcycle and scooter offers aim to increase the tournament’s popularity among players and spectators alike.

The winners of the tournament will receive a cash prize of 7,28,083 rupees along with trophies, medals, and certificates. The best player will be awarded a Bajaj motorcycle, and outstanding players in various categories, including Man of the Match, will receive cash prizes, trophies, medals, and certificates, the committee announced.
