Aug 26, Kathmandu - India has dispatched 10 tonnes of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) materials along with essential medicines to aid Nepal in the wake of recent devastating floods in Rasuwa.

Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar announced the emergency relief consignment via a post on X, emphasizing India's solid diplomatic and humanitarian support for its neighbor.

"Our thoughts are with the bereaved families and all those affected. In face of this challenge, India stands with Nepal and its people," Dr. Jaishankar posted, alongside images of relief materials being loaded onto Indian Air Force transport aircraft.

The emergency package, which includes vital life-saving drugs, medical supplies, and relief provisions, is aimed at bolstering Nepal's local response and providing immediate aid to displaced families across the affected districts.

India's prompt response reflects its long-standing "Neighbourhood First" policy, reaffirming strong bilateral ties and solidarity between the two neighboring nations during natural crises.
