Aug 27, Kathmandu - Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa has proposed the activation of an all-party mechanism for disaster management. He suggested that both current and former members of the parliament should collaboratively work together by establishing a unified party mechanism to assist citizens affected by disasters.

Thapa also announced plans for financial support from his party and the deployment of volunteers to aid disaster relief efforts. Drawing on past experiences in managing previous calamities, he emphasized that operating a joint mechanism would lead to more effective and coordinated disaster response.
