Nepal 'A' Shines with Kushal Bhurtel’s Stellar Batting to Set Target in T20 Series

Aug 29, Kathmandu - Nepal 'A' announced their presence in the Top End T20 Series with a formidable target against Victoria Cricket Association, thanks to an outstanding batting display by Kushal Bhurtel.

At the Marrara Cricket Ground in Darwin, Nepal won the toss and elected to bat. They posted a total of 142 runs for 6 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

Kushal Bhurtel played a match-winning innings, remaining unbeaten on 90 runs off 55 balls, smashing 6 fours and 5 sixes. Despite contributions from Deepak Prasad Dumre, who scored 16, other batsmen struggled to reach double digits.

For Victoria, Harry Hoekstra and Callum Stow took two wickets each, while Austin Anlezark and Sam Elliott claimed one wicket apiece. Nepal aims to conclude the tournament on a high note with a victory.

Earlier, Nepal faced defeats against Northern Territory Strike, Bangladesh High-Performance Team, and Kingsmen Academy but secured wins against Hobart Hurricanes Academy and Australian Capital Territory.
