Rescue Team Saves Nearly 6-Year-Old Girl from Mudslide in Timure, Ramification of Flood and Landslide Continues in Rasuwa

Aug 29, Kathmandu - The Armed Police Force (APF) rescue team successfully saved a nearly six-year-old girl trapped beneath the mud on the second day of the disastrous flood in Bhotekoshi.

Following the extensive damage caused by the flood and landslide in the Timure area, the APF team, involved in rescue and search efforts, located the girl buried under the soil. Immediate action was taken to remove her from the debris and she was promptly transported to a health facility for treatment.

Details about the girl’s current condition and the circumstances leading to her being buried in the mud are yet to be disclosed.

Since the incident, security agencies including the Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, and Nepal Police have been continuing their search and rescue operations in the affected region to assist those stranded or injured.
