Aug 30, Kathmandu - A major flood in the Trishuli River has destroyed the suspension bridge at Charaundi, connecting Gorkha's Gandaki Rural Municipality and Bardiya's Beni Ghat Rorang Rural Municipality.

The flood, which occurred early Monday morning, caused the bridge to collapse, according to the District Police Office of Dhading. The authorities confirmed that the overflowing river damaged the suspension bridge, disrupting connectivity between the two regions.

Additionally, the flood has also affected another suspension bridge located in Duwadi, situated above the Trishuli River. Lalita Adhikari, Vice-Chairperson of Gandaki Rural Municipality, stated that the intensity of the flood brought the suspension bridge to the verge of destruction.
