Rescue Team Returns After Search in Rasuwa's Bhotekoshi Tunnel Finds No Sign of Missing People

Aug 31, Kathmandu - A Nepalese Army team has returned from the tunnel of the Rasuwa-Gadhi Hydropower Project (RHP) affected by the Bhotekoshi flood in Rasuwa.

According to the Prime Minister's Secretariat, after conducting a thorough search inside the tunnel, no individuals were found. The rescue team, led by the Nepalese Army, had been searching with engineers and drone units, especially after suspicions that people might be trapped in the final section of the tunnel.

Despite deploying drones to scan the interior and reaching the tunnel's end, no signs of human presence were detected, the Secretariat confirmed.

With the confirmation that no one is inside the tunnel, the Nepalese Army team has now returned to Dhunche, Rasuwa.
