During the call, Prime Minister Shah emphasized the importance of engaging with the Australian leader as Nepal navigates through challenging times. Nepalese Minister of Information and Research, Deepa Dahal, shared that Shah expressed gratitude for Australia's solidarity and support during Nepal's recent natural calamities.

Prime Minister Shah specifically thanked Australia for its assistance following the devastating flood in the Bhote Koshi River basin in Rasuwa on Bhadra 10, which caused significant damage to property and infrastructure. He appreciated Australia's deployment of expert drone operators, essential relief supplies, and financial aid to support rescue and relief efforts.

Shah also highlighted ongoing efforts to locate missing Australian citizens affected by the floods, reaffirming Nepal's commitment to close cooperation with Australia in search, rescue, relief, and rehabilitation activities.

During the discussion, Australian Prime Minister Albanese expressed concern and sympathy over the hardships Nepal is experiencing due to the disaster.
