Youth Drowned in Fewa Lake Rescued from 30 Feet Depth

Sep 05, Kathmandu - A youth who drowned while kayaking near the Talbarahi Temple of Fewa Lake in Ward No. 6 of Pokhara Metropolitan City, Kaski, has been rescued. Aayush Tamang, 21, a resident of Udayapur, was rescued by a joint team of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force.

Tamang, who drowned in the lake at 2:30 pm on Saturday, was rescued at 2:45 pm and sent to Gandaki Medical College for treatment, informed Birendra Kumar Paswan, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Kaski.

A diving team found Tamang unconscious from an approximate depth of 30 feet in the lake.
