Sep 07, Kathmandu - At least 1,355 bodies have been recovered so far, with nearly 4,993 people still unaccounted for in the recent Rasuwa flood. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority stated on Monday at 11 a.m., providing the latest updates.
According to the authorities, the recovery efforts have identified the following numbers of bodies: 169 in Rasuwa, 197 in Nuwakot, 70 in Dhading, 75 in Gorkha, 222 in Eastern Nawalparasi, 221 in Western Nawalparasi, 38 in Tanahun, and 363 in Chitwan.
In response to the flood emergency, a total of 21,402 security personnel, including Nepal Police, the Armed Police Force, and the Nepal Army, have been deployed for rescue operations.
So far, a total of 13,396 individuals have been successfully rescued from the affected areas.
