Sep 11, Kathmandu - A hand grenade attack in a house located in Dehiwala, a suburb of Colombo, has resulted in the deaths of two children and left their father injured, police said on Friday morning.

According to authorities, the two boys, aged 10 and 14, were admitted to the hospital following the attack. Unfortunately, both succumbed to their injuries during treatment. Their father, who was also injured in the incident, is currently receiving medical care at the same hospital.

Police suspect that the attack may be linked to ongoing conflicts between organized criminal gangs. An initial investigation has been launched to determine the exact motives and circumstances surrounding the incident.
