Sep 12, Kathmandu - The Prime Minister's Relief Fund continues to see a steady influx of financial support, with the total donations reaching over Rs 13.54 billion as of this morning. According to the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers' Office, the fund’s account holds Rs 13,54,09,03,117 (thirteen billion five hundred forty million nine thousand three hundred seventeen Nepali rupees) by 9 AM today.

Since the evening of Bhadra 26, an additional Rs 282 million has been deposited into the fund. The contributions are allocated across nine different banks under the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund, which is dedicated to disaster management and relief efforts.

The government has previously disbursed Rs 1 billion from the fund through the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority to aid flood victims.

In addition to Nepali Rupees, the fund’s dollar accounts have also seen increases, with an additional $154,770 deposited after Bhadra 26. The total amount in the dollar accounts now stands at approximately $2.34 million, as reported by the Prime Minister’s Office.

The steady growth of the fund reflects nationwide support for disaster relief initiatives and ongoing efforts to address the impacts of recent calamities.
