Sep 17, Kathmandu - The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has reported that 51% of corruption cases filed in special courts have resulted in convictions.

In the fiscal year 2082–83, a total of 175 cases were filed, out of which 156 cases have been decided by the special courts. Among these verdicts, the CIAA announced that 81 cases led to convictions.

Despite these successes, the commission has expressed dissatisfaction with the outcomes, appealing 104 cases to the Supreme Court. Additionally, the CIAA has filed review petitions in three cases after the Supreme Court's rulings.
