Sep 17, Kathmandu - Nepali Congress has announced a comprehensive plan to involve members from all levels in its upcoming 15th general convention, ensuring no member is left behind.
Following the Central Working Committee meeting held on Thursday, party spokesperson Devaraj Chalise informed journalists that organizational arrangements have been made to include all members in the convention process. "Members whose memberships have been renewed as of Bhadra 28 and those involved in the convention process will participate. No member will be excluded from the convention," he stated.
Chalise also confirmed that the party has made provisions to actively involve the central committee officials and members elected under the leadership of former Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba in an inclusive manner. The meeting emphasized creating a proportional and participatory environment at all levels, from ward conventions to the central level, in accordance with the party's statutes.
The spokesperson added that the meeting discussed the party's overall unity and its leadership role in nation-building. "We are organizing the 15th convention as a celebration, making the schedule more efficient and systematic to strengthen party unity," he said.
To further bolster internal democracy, the party is addressing technical and administrative issues and has issued directives to complete all organizational conventions within the scheduled time. Leaders present at the meeting expressed a collective commitment to the party’s upcoming journey and organizational strengthening.
