Six Bodies Recovered from Trishuli-1 Hydropower Project Site in Rasuwa

Sep 18, Kathmandu - Six bodies have been found inside the tunnel of the Trishuli-1 Hydropower Project in Rasuwa, Nepal. According to the Nepal Army's Public Relations and Information Directorate, the bodies were discovered on Friday while searching within an audit tunnel. The bodies were trapped inside the inner part of a mesh that was laid for the installation of a support bar.

The rescue team used grinders, gas cutters, and rotary rescue tools to extract the six bodies. Authorities have warned that there may still be additional victims inside the tunnel. The army is continuing its search, as the area is covered in mud and the shape resembles that of human bodies, indicating the possibility of more casualties.
