Sports Week Begins as Part of Rapti Institute of Health Sciences' Anniversary Celebrations

Sep 19, Kathmandu - In celebration of Constitution Day and the ninth anniversary of Rapti Health Sciences Institute, a week-long sports festival commenced on Saturday. The event was inaugurated by Professor Shyam Lamsal, Registrar of the Institute, at Nepal Police Boarding School.

The sports week features 17 different disciplines, including volleyball, football, running, and cricket. The Institute has announced that the festivities will run until Ashwin 10.

During the opening ceremony, Registrar Professor Lamsal emphasized the importance of sports in promoting not only physical health but also mental vitality, discipline, teamwork, and institutional unity. He highlighted that the anniversary celebration is more than just a formal event; it is an opportunity to strengthen the bonds among teachers, staff, medical professionals, nurses, and students.

Professor Lamsal also underscored the collective role of everyone associated with the Institute in its development and progress. He expressed confidence that various programs planned for the anniversary would foster institutional unity, cooperation, and positive energy.

The inauguration was attended by Institute Hospital Director Associate Professor Suresh Rasaili, along with teachers, staff, doctors, nurses, and students pursuing MBBS and nursing courses.

In addition to the sports activities, the Institute is organizing various programs to mark its ninth anniversary. The main event will be a grand ceremony scheduled for September 12 at the Institute's assembly hall, where achievements, the Institute's history, and future plans will also be showcased.
