‘Sindoor’ Begins Filming in Dang, Starring Pushpa Khadka and Prashansa Rayamajhi

Oct 02, Kathmandu - Nepali film 'Sindoor' has begun filming in Dang district in western Nepal, the production team announced. The shoot started on Friday, with a one-month schedule planned.

Presented by Kasturi Production Pvt. Ltd. in collaboration with Classic Cine Universe Pvt. Ltd., the film is written and directed by Laxman Sunar. Sunar previously directed 'Bulaki' and 'Paralko Aago'. Sanjiv Sarki is producing the film, with Dinesh Singh Mahara serving as executive producer.

Pushpa Khadka and Prashansa Rayamajhi will appear together as the lead pair. The film explores a social story centered on the significance of sindoor—the vermilion traditionally worn by married Hindu women—and what it means to a woman.

Sankalp Bhujel is the cinematographer. The music is by Prashant Siwakoti, Shri Krishna Bam Malla and Dinesh Dhakal. Prakash Hamal is production chief, Karan Bahadur Saud is chief assistant director, and Ramji Lamichhane is choreographing the film.
