20,000 Police Personnel deployed to Stop Cockroach Party Protest in Delhi

Oct 09, Kathmandu - The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) is set to intensify its agitation in the Indian capital, New Delhi, alleging that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is manipulating the voter list to win the elections.

The CJP has announced that it will protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar on Saturday, demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

Security has been tightened in Delhi following the announcement of the protest. More than 20,000 police and paramilitary forces have been deployed, it is said.

Permission for the protest has not been given and prohibitory orders have also been imposed. Along with the CJP, various student organizations have also demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Kumar.
