Nov 01, Kathmandu - Nepali Congress Chairman Gagan Kumar Thapa has called on the ruling Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) to invite Prime Minister Balendra Shah to a party meeting and issue him directions over the government’s actions.
Speaking at a press conference at the party’s central office in Sanepa on Sunday, Thapa criticized what he described as the government’s recent missteps. He said the RSP’s parliamentary party should meet, hear from the prime minister and direct the government to investigate concerns and deliver results.
“The RSP parliamentary party should meet and invite the prime minister,” Thapa said. “It should issue directions, and the prime minister should ensure the government acts on them.”
Thapa also argued that the RSP must take responsibility for the government’s unpopular decisions, saying the ruling party should not claim credit for good work while distancing itself from criticism.
