Nov 02, Kathmandu - Karnali Yaks made a blistering start against Kathmandu Gorkhas in the opening match of the day at NPL 3, reaching 65 for one in the powerplay.

Kathmandu captain Karan KC won the toss and elected to field. Bangladesh openers Ariful Islam and Jishan Alam opened the innings for Karnali. Alam, who joined the team only yesterday, struck a six off KC before being dismissed.

Ariful, meanwhile, took charge with an aggressive 44-run knock. Mark Watt, batting at No. 3, also looked in good touch, scoring 14.

Karnali are chasing a third consecutive win, while Kathmandu—playing their second match—are looking for their first victory.
