National Volleyball League Next month, a team will be able to associate 3 foreign players

The fifth RBB-NVA National Women's and Men's National Club League Volleyball Tournament is scheduled to be held from 19th of Chaitra under the auspices of Nepal Volleyball Association (NVA) and the main sponsorship of Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB).

At a press conference held on Thursday, General Secretary of the Organizing Volleyball Association Jitendra Bahadur Chand said that 14 teams including 8 men's and 6 women's teams would participate. The game will be played on the basis of the first round-robin league for both men and women. The top two teams will have to compete for the title again.

Among men, HNCS Club, APF Club, Nepal Police, Nepal Army, Nayabazar Social Youth Club, Buddha Toll Volleyball Club, Manimukunda Club of Butwal, and Bubble Rara Club are participating.

Among the women, APF, Army, Police, New Diamond Sports Club, Dhorpatan Volleyball Training Center, and Bharatpur Metro Sports Council will participate.

General Secretary Chand informed that there is a provision for a team to have three foreign players and each team will be provided Rs 50,000 for preparation and transportation expenses.

The same prize money is kept for the best players in the men's and women's teams and individual events.

The top four teams will receive Rs 300,000, Rs 150,000, Rs 75,000 and Rs 37,500 respectively.

The best player will be given a cash prize of Rs 25,000 each. The best Libero, Spyker, Blocker, Server, Setter and Instructor will be rewarded with the same 10-10 thousand cash.

The prize money has also been increased by about Rs 300,000. The total prize money is Rs 1.295 million. From now on, players and officials will also be insured, the association said.

Chief Executive Officer of Rastriya Banijya Bank Kiran Kumar Shrestha said that he was happy to be associated with the national game of volleyball.

President of the Volleyball Association Manoranjanaraman Sharma thanked the Bank for the trust it has shown towards the Volleyball Association and expressed confidence that the support and cooperation with the Bank would continue even after the fifth edition. The sponsorship agreement between the two parties is coming to an end after this edition.

The games of the eight-day competition will be played at the multi-purpose covered hall of the National Sports Council in Tripureshwor.
