March 15, Kathmandu- Nepal Super League (NSL) franchise team Dhangadhi Football Club has announced Bishal Rai as a marquee player.

Dhangadhi, which is owned by Go Dreamers, unveiled national team midfielder Bishal Rai as a marquee player in a program organized on Monday.

Rai last played in the Shaheed Smarak A Division League from Machhindra Club. He also played for Manang Marsyangdi Club. Bishal, who made his debut against India on August 21, 2015, has played 19 games for the Nepali national team and scored three goals.

According to Dhangadhi FC, Bishal has been kept as per the provision that the franchise can have a marquee player. The team has also informed that it has started the process of signing other players and coaches.

Seven franchise teams from different cities will compete in the NSL on the basis of single round robin in the NSL starting from Baishak 11 at the Aina of Nepal Sports and Event Management. The organizers had made public the names of 7 franchise teams on Sunday.

Biratnagar City Football Club, Kathmandu Razors, Lalitpur City Football Club, FC Chitwan, Pokhara Thunders and Butwal Lumbini FC will compete in the NSL.
