March 25, Kathmandu-  Popular Bollywood singer Alka Yagnik has lent her voice to hundreds of superhit songs. Singer Alka, who reigned supreme in the Bollywood  90s, had a very good pairing with Udit Narayan Jha, a singer of Nepali origin. These two were the voices in most of the Bollywood movie songs at that time.

Alka started her career in the music industry at the young age of 14. She has recorded more than 2,000 songs. She has sung in 16 languages. Alka has been very successful in her business life but she has sacrificed a lot for her success. Alka was married to Shillong businessman Niraj Kapoor in 1989. However, they were separated for 27 years after their marriage.

Niraj's business was in Shillong. Alka's job was in Mumbai. That is why these two were forced to live apart from each other. Holidays that are full of complexity are neither fun nor comfortable. Niraj used to come to Mumbai from time to time, but after marriage, Alka spent most of her time as a single mother and raised children on her own.
