Online TV Journalists Association Honors NFJ's New Leadership(With Video)

April 12, Kathmandu-  Nepal Online TV Journalists Association has congratulated the team of the newly elected president of the Federation of Nepali Journalists Bipul Pokhrel. The association congratulated the newly elected leadership of the federation by organizing a congratulatory and good wishes exchange program at the Reports Club in Kathmandu on Monday.

Addressing the congratulatory memorandum program, newly elected president of the Federation of Nepali Journalists Bipul Pokharel said that digital media has played a faster and more effective role in the flow of information than other media. Chairman Pokharel said that digital media would be highly valued in the media world if it could improve the work of journalism without compromising the essence of journalism.

He also expressed his commitment to work with priority to solve the problems seen in the digital media sector as his team has now come under the leadership of the Federation of Nepali Journalists.

Speaking on the occasion, President of the Nepal Online TV Journalists Association Jeevan Bhandari urged the leadership of the Federation of Nepali Journalists to come up with an effective plan for the management of online TVs. He also urged to create a basis to differentiate between journalists and those who only flow information.

Speaking on the occasion, Sanjiv Regmi, Vice President of Nepal Online TV Journalists Association, said that everyone should be able to accept the existence of changed media as it is changing. He also said that management is the main need of the day, not a displacement of online TVs. Vice President Regmi also urged everyone to pay attention to the core religion of journalism while disseminating news materials on online TV.


Addressing the program, journalist Rishi Dhamala said that the Federation of Nepali Journalists needs to create an environment that gives due respect to the forms of online media. He said that everyone should appreciate the fact that online media is now spreading information faster than other media at the same time.
