April 18, Kathmandu - The government is going to issue separate licenses for drivers who have passed the pilot test of driver's license from next May. The Department of Transportation is about to issue a separate card for a period of one year after passing the trial.
Director General of the department Namaraj Ghimire informed that a separate PVC card with QR code will be introduced. "We are now preparing to issue a separate license for a one-year trial period," he said.
According to him, the driver who has passed the trial will be given a smart license only after one year and a license with QR code for that period." Traffic will check the driver's license based on the QR code," he said. The department believes that such a card will reduce traffic violations. Traffic has made more than five holes in the card and after one year, smart driving will not be allowed and the license test will be re-introduced.
