April 19, Kathmandu - Surendra Vir Malakar has been elected as the president and Min Bahadur Gurung, Sakuntalal Hirachan and Kush Prasad Malli as the vice presidents of the Nepal Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

According to the association, Ram Raja Acharya has been elected as general secretary, Surendra Kumar Shrestha as treasurer, Ram Bahadur Shrestha as secretary, Rajju Tandukar as co-treasurer and Urmila Shrestha, Narayan Dev Rana and Ramesh Maharjan as members.

Newly elected chairperson Malakar stressed on the need to expand trade relations between Nepal and Kuwait, promote tourism in both the countries and develop direct air services between the two countries.
