Patan Secondary School is linked to Nepal's history: PM Oli

April 19, Kathmandu - Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has inaugurated the newly constructed building of Patan Secondary School in Lalitpur Metropolitan City.

Prime Minister Oli inaugurated the newly constructed building of Patan Secondary School, which was damaged after the 2072 BS earthquake. The building was constructed by the Government of Nepal, National Reconstruction Authority Central Project Implementation Unit (Education) with the loan assistance of the Government of Japan.

Inaugurating the building, Prime Minister Oli said that Patan Secondary School is connected with the history and system of Nepal. He also said that the school has linked one century with another. He said, ‘This building is connected with the history of Nepal. Connected to various systems. One age and another age, connected with one century and another century. It has served as a bridge between centuries.

Mayor of Lalitpur Metropolitan City Chiribabu Maharjan said that 80 percent of Nepal's children attend community schools but have not been able to provide quality education. He also expressed confidence that Patan Secondary School would provide quality education in the coming days. Mayor Maharjan also said that the corporation would provide necessary assistance in providing quality education.
