Bug Bowie : Bug Bounty Platform Brought By Nepali Youth

April 19, Kathmandu-For the first time in Nepal, the commercial bug bounty platform 'Bugvi' has started service. Signical Technology, a company of Nepali youths, has made public cybersecurity platform by developing a cybersecurity platform with a commitment to make cybersecurity services cheap and accessible.

Ethical hackers and cybersecurity researchers from around the world will now be able to detect the risks in the systems and software of various organizations, companies, and bodies through Bugby. The company will also reward ethical hackers, said Naresh Lamgade, founder of Scientific Technology.

He said that various organizations and bodies, including Nepal's information technology companies, can get the security of their systems tested at a cheaper price. Since only the bugs that have been detected have to be paid, it will be easier for the organizations, companies, and agencies to take the service, said Sinal. Bugby has been made public with the aim of making it a globally used product, said founder Lamgade.

"Organizations, companies, and bodies can be responsible for detecting bugs. If a bug is found, ethical hackers can report it through Bugby's platform," he said. "Hackers will be rewarded with a certain amount depending on the nature of the bug."

He said that this would give ethical hackers an income-generating bug-finding task and that service providers, companies, and agencies would also have the opportunity to easily fix vulnerabilities in cybersecurity, including their websites and software.

Client companies and associations have to pay a certain fee to be listed in Bugby, and ethical hackers and cybersecurity researchers who find bugs have to pay a price for the bugs they determine.

Bugby will take digital payments in collaboration with eService and PhonePay. Various companies and organizations are currently listed in BugView to detect bugs for ethical hackers.

According to Bugby, client companies and organizations can self-determine the value of bugs found in their product and software systems. The company launched the service by organizing a live hacking program on Bugby's platform.

Private services will also be provided to the bodies, companies, and associations that need cybersecurity. In this way, they will be able to find out the security vulnerabilities in their system through the commercially excellent hackers in 'Bugby'.

Lamgade said that there is an incident of leakage of data and information due to a lack of proper means of communication with the concerned companies and platforms in case of finding bugs.

Cybersecurity researchers from around the world can connect to the buggy platform for free. In order to maintain cybersecurity, hackers will compete to find bugs through Nepal's bug platform.

"Everyone can use the system to test it without having to pay for bugs," says Lamgade.
