Hospital Services Suspended After Health Workers Get infected With COVID-19

May 3, Kathmandu- All services at Nayanpur Hospital in Dhangadhimai Municipality-9 of Siraha have been shut down except for emergency after COVID-19 was confirmed in the health workers.

Non-emergency services of the hospital have been suspended immediately after a doctor working at the hospital tested positive for corona. Prakash Yonjan, Ward Chairman of Dhangadhimai-9, informed that only emergency services have been operated by sealing the hospital as the health workers and staffs who came in contact with the doctors have to be traced.

All the rooms of the hospital are locked except the emergency room. The hospital has stated that it will be brought back to operation after spraying prophylactic medicine in the hospital. According to the District Health Office, Siraha, 61 people have been confirmed infected in Siraha so far after the second wave of Kovid-19. Of the infected, seven are undergoing treatment in isolation, one in Biratnagar and one in Dharan while the rest are in home isolation.
