Bharatpur Metropolitan City Is Bringing Covid Patient Hospital At Free Cost  

May 6, Kathmandu- The Bharatpur Municipal Corporation, which has run a temporary hospital and a well-organized isolation center in the first wave of coronavirus, has started a campaign to bring the infected to the hospital free of cost this time. In addition, the metropolis is preparing isolation in two places.

Metropolitan Chief Renu Dahal said that two ambulances were on standby to bring the infected to the hospital. He said that an ambulance has been provided to the infected people in rural areas as it is more difficult to reach the hospital than in urban areas. He said, “There are three big hospitals for corona treatment in the metropolis. The metropolis makes arrangements to bring them to the hospital. ” He said that the metropolis is engaged in its management as the infected person is staying in a normal house and the complex has to be kept in the hospital.

He also informed that isolation rooms would be set up at Primary Health Center Sivanagar and Health Post Shardanagar. Isolation rooms of at least 50 beds can be constructed in these two places. He said that the isolation room will be brought into operation if the beds of the hospitals designated for the treatment of corona are filled.
 
These isolation facilities will be completed with oxygen. For the prevention and treatment of Kovid-19, the metropolitan chief has formed committees under his own leadership and has formed all-party committees in all 29 wards under the coordination of the ward chairperson. He said that those who showed symptoms of the corona were kept in touch with the health workers and arrangements were made to bring the needy patients to the hospital.


Stating that the metropolis has moved ahead by coordinating with health experts, health institution heads, and local administration for risk reduction and effective treatment, he informed that awareness program has been conducted through miking in every toll.

Bharatpur Metropolitan Deputy Chief Parvati Shah said that coordination has been made to make the ban issued by the local administration a success. "Health counseling has been provided to those infected," he said.

He informed that the Bharatpur Central Hospital, Medical Colleges, BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital, and all the health institutions in the metropolis have coordinated with the government for the effective treatment of the infected.

Chief Administrative Officer Bhoj Raj Khatiwada said that all the health centers under the metropolitan government have been operating regularly and health workers have been mobilized for the control, management, and treatment of covid disease.
 
The metropolis says that coordination and facilitation are being carried out for the prevention and treatment of covid in coordination with other offices and organizations in the district. The metropolis has stated that it is working to facilitate the identification, management, and treatment of Kovid patients by activating the people's representatives, health workers, all-party committee in the ward, and toll development committee. Dahal said that the metropolis is moving ahead with a plan to do more work as per the need by giving special importance to the health security of the metropolitans.

Last year, 500 infected people received services from the isolation conducted by the Bharatpur Municipal Corporation in Vageshwari. The corporation had set up a temporary hospital and handed it over to Bharatpur Hospital.
