'Covid Connect Nepal' helps for corona infected people

May 6, Kathmandu - Now, the new variant of covid-19 is spreading rapidly in Nepal as well. Lack of hospital beds, oxygen and ambulances in neighboring India during the covid epidemic led to a major humanitarian crisis.

In Nepal too, the infected have been losing their lives due to lack of proper treatment. Experts are warning that Covid-19 could take a frightening form in a country like Nepal where health infrastructure and infrastructure are weak.

Meanwhile, independent youths working in different fields have formed a group and started providing voluntary services by creating the online support system Covid Connect Nepal to prevent such a catastrophic situation as in India.

Through Covid Connect Nepal, these young people are now working to connect covid infected people across the country with the necessary beds, ICUs, oxygen, ventilator beds and ambulances.

Relatives of infected and infected people who are not getting these essentials can contact covid Connect Nepal's website, Facebook page or the hotline numbers mentioned on the website to find the necessary services or get help for facilitation.

After receiving requests from relatives of the infected for help, the team volunteers verify their request and the hospital's prescription."We have a team of 100 people, including health workers, biomedical engineers and various volunteers," said by Ida Rijal, a member of Covid Connect Nepal Initiatives.

Our 60 volunteers are checking every hour to see how many beds there are in which hospital in which place in Nepal. Based on the verified data brought by them, we are connecting so many beds to the hospital that there are vacancies here, 'she said.covid Connect also has a volunteer team in Gandaki and Lumbini for facilitation outside the valley. Who are working to connect patients and hospitals in local places.

The group also has its own database of where and how much oxygen is being produced, so work is underway to connect the hospital to where it is needed.

At present, the number of caries infections is increasing rapidly and the demand for bed, oxygen and ICU is also increasing in Nepal. The Covid Connect Nepal campaign started in such a situation is facilitating for the infected who want immediate service. The campaign started with eight people and now more than 100 people have joined it.
