Scholarship Assistance From Students Living In US

May 6, Kathmandu- Nepali students living in the United States have provided scholarships for students studying at Shree Parvati Secondary School in Bethan Chowk village of Kavrepalanchok district. The scholarship was distributed on Sunday under the education initiation program of Krinjal Foundation Nepal.

Through this program, scholarships were distributed to 31 students studying in classes 1 to 10 of the school. Five thousand five hundred rupees per student for students studying from class 1 to 5, eight thousand two hundred and fifty rupees per student for students studying from class 6 to 8, and 11 thousand rupees per student for students studying in class 9 and 10. A scholarship of Rs. 226,000 has been provided. The scholarship was funded by Kshitij Raj Lohani, director of the Krinjal Foundation (currently living in the United States).

Arju Lohani, Board Member and Financial Coordinator of Krinjal Foundation expressed her commitment to helping the students through various programs in the coming days. Speaking on the occasion, Prem Bahadur Timalsina, Chairman of Bethan Chowk Village Municipality, urged all the students to always take inspiration from the support extended by the students abroad.

The scholarship has been introduced in the school through the initiative of Samudra Timalsina, a member of the secretariat of the National Youth Association of Nepal. Speaking on the occasion, Timalsina said that he would take the continuous initiative to improve the educational condition of the school. Chairman of the program and Chairman of the School Management Committee Bhagwan Ghimire, Principal of the school Govinda Prasad Sharma and others were present.
