Corona infection in 160 people including 19 MPS

May 8, Kathmandu - Corona virus infection has been confirmed in 160 people, including 19 members of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly. According to the Parliament Secretariat, apart from 19 infected people, there are staffs working in the Parliament Secretariat and security personnel.

As the meeting of the House of Representatives is scheduled to be held on April 10, the corona of 1235 people including 205 MPs was tested on April 8 and 9. According to Shridhar Neupane, Press Adviser to Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota, 160 of them have been confirmed infected. One report is yet to come.

"We have received reports of 1,234 people, of whom 160 (11.97 per cent) have tested positive for corona," he said. There are security personnel and employees of parliamentary affairs journalists

President Bidyadevi Bhandari has convened a special session of the House of Representatives on May10 for the purpose of taking a vote of confidence by the Prime Minister on the recommendation of the government.
